Princeton Battlefield Society’s Young Patriot’s Day

The New Jersey Society, Sons of the American Revolution joined the Princeton Battlefield Society and the 3rd NJ Regiment “Jersey Greys” for Young Patriot’s Day, capped off with a Commemorative Event of the unveiling of an NJSSAR plaque at the Mortuary Cannon for VA General Hugh Mercer who died from his wounds suffered at the January 3, 1777 Battle of Princeton at the Thomas Clarke House on January 12, 1777. The VASSAR and the TXSSAR joined the ceremony via Zoom. Other history partners included were the Ocean County NJ America250 “War at the Shore” Van, Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA) Fife & Drum, Washington Crossing State Park (NJ) representatives of the 1st RI Regiment, and TenCrucialDays.org, and “Benjamin Franklin” living historian, Rob DeVitis.
