“Experience the Battle of Princeton and the Lineage Organization Wreath Commemoration

The Reenactment of the Battle of Princeton took place on the cold and wet Princeton Battlefield State Park on January 7, 2024. Temperatures were in the mid 30s. Winds were at 15mph, and we had intermittent rain and some flurries. The weather may have kept some from attending, but there were still 400 + hearty citizens, over 200 dedicated reenactors, and support staff to lend justice to the day’s historic significance. The Reenactment was made possible by a few major supporters, including the New Jersey Society and Sons of the American Revolution. NJSSAR was well represented thanks to several members, including the New Jersey Society Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard led by Commander Jay Hershey. Our revolutionary ancestors would have been proud. Present that day for the NJSSAR were Commander Hershey, Color Guardsmen, Robert Meyer, Gary Beauregard, Ed Glidden, Princeton Chapter President Roger Williams, and Earl Grondyke. Also attending were Color Guard Commander Scott Collins, SAR Middle School Teacher of the Year, and soon-to-be NJSSAR member Rob Shulte and Brent Osborne of the Virginia Society. PASSAR Color Guard Commander Fred Fonseca, Chris Snyder, and Spencer Snyder were present for Pennsylvania. NJSSAR thanks them all for contributing to the event. NJSSAR’s Roger Williams coordinated the participation of the Lineage Organization Commemorative events for the sites of the Ten Crucial Days. Legacy Units attending:
