Princeton Battlefield Society’s Young Patriot’s Day

The New Jersey Society, Sons of the American Revolution joined the Princeton Battlefield Society and the 3rd NJ Regiment “Jersey Greys” for Young Patriot’s Day. One hundred and 175 families, over three hundred attending. Traffic and the SAR Booth was non-stop, with Compatriot Rob Skead, author of the American Revolution Series, an trio of exciting middle grade series; Patriots, Redcoats & Spies, Submaries, Secrets and a Daring Rescue, and Links to Liberty. Princeton Cranbury Chapter’s youngest compatriot, “Jack” engaged with kids with 18th Century toys and games. Jack’s dad is the 2023 SAR Middle School Teacher of the Year, Compatriot Rob Schulte, NJSSAR members had the opportunty to engage with parents, teachers and homeschoolers promoting the SAR Youth Programs. Other history partners included were the Princeton and Jersey Blues Chapters DAR, Ocean County NJ America250 “War at the Shore” Van, Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA), RevolutionNJ, Washington Rochambeau Trail, and TenCrucialDays.org, and “Benjamin Franklin” living historian, Rob DeVitis.
